On January 16, 2005 the doors opened to a new state-of-the-art theater in Arlington, Texas. The 1750 seat (ultimately 3200 seats after balcony finish-out) theater is an exciting venue for concerts, theatrical productions, and community meetings. The MetroCenter is home to Arlington Independent School District (AISD) events, Arlington Police Department and Arlington Police Academy events, Symphony Arlington and the congregation of Fielder Road Baptist Church, who worships each Sunday in the newly constructed facility.
The nearly 100,000 square foot MetroCenter boasts a theatrical stage with spacious back stage dressing and holding areas. Concerts and productions are enhanced by fully equipped lighting systems, catwalks, and orchestra pit. Patrons are sure to enjoy the state-of-the-art sound system and expansive video image magnification screens.
